Seeing things from other angles

I suppose we all somehow have some kind of split personality... Yesterday I went with a friend to a ballet trial session. I felt very elegant, though probably not a elegant as I should, and decided to start there from now on. Then I went to the theater with another friend, and along with some people from school, watching a play named "FML", where different kids told their own true, touching stories. After letting the impressions sink in, I was done with the cultural part of the day, and I went home with Nirvana's "Breed" playing loudly in my ears, thinking that life was awesome, only two days after my boyfriend broke up with me...

I just found out that...

...everything you say and do will somehow reflect your real life. You must never write a poem, for instance, about how miserable you are, if you really aren't, because then you soon will... Fate tend to spit in people's faces...

Something new...

Well, the book-thing lasted for two days...sorry about that. I figured, I just can not stand having to do something. I will draw in there as often as possible, though.

Sometimes art shows its best when you really don't care about the level of details. It probably took me five minutes to get this one done, and it's not the worst I've ever done, is it?

Sometimes it is in fact the details that ruin everything; you start with a great piece of work, and then you add some extra shadows here and there, and suddenly you no longer know what it is you've tried to achieve at all.

The one on the bottom here is, as you probably see too, the original of the five, which I have edited into several colorful versions.

I tried to get the four colored ones into one image, but it didn't turn out that well, and it seems like it's impossible to put different images side to side here, so here I am, trying my best to fill in the blank area...

I soon have to get ready for my friend, Vilje's birthday party. She turned fifteen in November, but better late than never right? :P

What is your plans for today?

my daily drawing...

Two years ago I started to draw a small drawing every day, often looking at drawing lessons at YouTube, to practice a bit. I drew in a tiny book I once got from...um...someone. That tradition lasted for exactly six drawings (equals about a week), before I either gave it up, or just forgot it all... After looking for this book again for some days now, I finally found it in my one and only book shelf - what a weird place to put a book - and I've decided to give it a try. This is the page I've attacked this afternoon, and it'll be exciting to see how long this will last ;)

I can't give it up

Although I get an occasional  lack of inspiration, I never give up drawing... Just to show you anything at all, here's my sketch for today... We currently learn how to draw with two points' perspective in Art & Craft. We had to draw some kind of copy after some guy at Youtube. It was alright, but of course, I had to add a couple of details to mine.

I just listened to The XX's Infinity (I can't give it up, to someone else's touch, because I care to much)
I have now switched over to Crystalised, which I love even more <3 I have big plans of listening more to the XX.

One Way Road

We can go inside to get warm
But we can't come out again after closing the door
It's a one way road, it's a one way road
And we can't come out again after closing the door

Is it better just to stay outside and risk
Becoming one of them, on the list
Of all the frozen people left this year
No, it would be to bad to end up there

Though it's a one way road, it's a one way road
And we can't come out again after closing the door

Now we walk in circles around ourselves and think it over
Making sure that everything's okay
Getting closer now, in case there is some monster
Guarding its meal by the moment we walk in

Is it better just to stay outside and risk
Becoming the new members of the list
Of all the frozen people left this year

One Way Road

Hi! Today Indiana and I worked a bit with our music. It suddenly hit me that we always sing her songs. It's not that I don't love that, but I feel like she's always open, handing me a part of all her hard work, while I only keep mine to myself. From now on, I want to try writing songs and facilitate that we both can sing them. I've already started something here:

We can go inside to get warm
But we can't come out again after closing the door
It's a one way road, it's a one way road
And we can't come out again after closing the door

(instrumental)

Is it better just to stay outside and risk
Becoming one of them on the list
Of all the frozen people left this year
No, it would be to bad to end up there

Though it's a one way road, it's a one way road
And we can't come out again after closing the door

What do you think? (That includes you too, Iana! :D)

Dancing!

Hey! Lately my friends and I have been teaching ourselves the music video choreography of Girls Generation's Gee (here I'm playing the girl with the black pants and glasses on her t-shirt). Personally, I yet haven't come into the K-pop, but it's so much fun dancing! Since I haven't been able to stop, I've learned the whole song, in addition to another - the Boys (I dance the one to the left here, meaning: I play Sunny in both). This time I accepted the challenge of trying to dance the choreography of some of the mail groups, which seems to be a LOT harder. The newest project is: SHINee's Lucifer. I kinda look forward to it, but I realize I may be going crazy with that difficulty. Well, I'm not going to determine anyting, since I haven't even tryed out the start position yet. On the other hand - I'm already freaking out by looking at the video :S

Wish me good luck!

A Poor Jealous Voice in December

Young girl alone in one December night
No one with living soul is in her sight
On the icy road she sees the reflection of a poor face

To realize it's her own eyes takes some time
'Cause she's used to telling them that she's just fine
Well, she is strong, when it's all wrong she rises

Get up, girl, lying in the snow doesn't solve your problem
Hanging on is what you have to do
Find the light, it will follow you
To what you seek for happiness

Along with the snow comes the Christmas times
Where loneliness hits us all like blowing mines
And we watch them having fun with beer and wine
Drinking away the thought of your and my life

This is the first song I've ever written to the piano <3 I drew a picture to it as well, but I forgot it at my grandma's house...

A Girl's Mind

This is one of those days when I get everything done...

This is the done work of the eyes I published earlier. The reason I use charcoal a lot now, is because JD Hillberry says so at Youtube :P Check it out! He's got a point there.

Finally!

SURPRISE!!!!!! Finally, I got one of my many lino prints home just now. This is the one where I used the most paint, and some points got either to big or simply a little weird. Still, I'm pretty happy with this one too.
Even though cutting details can be challenging, I think getting the right amount of paint, is the really difficult part. Note that the prints are mirrored from the sketch.

Today's creations

Well, guys, here I am, sowing a jacket for my dog, with my new Gotye CD (yey!) as LOUD background music ^_^
What a coincidence - State of the Art is playing in this very moment! Ylva's jacket is ready soon, then I can try to find my camera charger and show you how it looks like - it's made of my friend's mother's old tights, my overused jeans, and some other leftover stuff I could find. And - the first thing I did when I came home today was drawing this: (I only used ordinary pencils on this, so I must admit that I edited it quite a bit when it comes to contrasts.)

This time, I actually was inspired by the shadows casted by my desk and computer. For instance, the eye lashes were the results of what I later found out was the shadows of my earplugs hanging out from the PC. I just changed a few sharp edges, and it turned out like this! ...I tend to find many weird details in this world... Many that may seem useless, and many that let me stretch out for another creative idea to share with you <3
To end this post I can mention that the song playing right now is Save Me...

Working with a drawing...

I started a new drawing of a girl's face (what else?) just before I went to Tenerife, and it is ready soon - I just gotta get myself a pencil sharpener XD. I want the background to be really dark, and get some clear contrasts in there. Here's a peak, I hope you all will like it:

From the dolphin show

Haha, someone didn't want to miss a picture ;)

Anteater at Loro Parque

Hi! One of the things we did at Tenerife was going to the Loro Parque (the Parrot Park. It started with only parrots, but now it's a large zoo with all sorts of animals). There were several shows, such as with dolphins and sea lions, and also the never dying pleasure of seeing all the animals, like the anteater. I must say - they are really fascinating! It's just a shame to see the walls that cage them all in there, just like in every zoo. I wish we could watch and admire these creatures without disturbing their lives <3 Ignore the reflection on the glass in some of the pictures I took...

Lino print

Hey, you people :P Yesterday I was finished with my lino print. It turned out well, I suppose, and it feels comforting that the teacher held it up and showed it to the whole class as an example of success :) !! All the prints are now to be evaluated, and when I get it back, I'll show you how it turned out to look like.

And this is how I look like... ==>

Playing with light

Last week I was on Tenerife. There the Spanish lessons in school finally got in use...a bit. I'm too shy to talk a lot, obviously, but at least I asked for the toilet once, and satisfyingly - i actually understood the answer. :P I'll publish some of the pics I took during the trip soon, but there are more than 700 photographs, so it's a lot to look through. In the mean time, here's some results of me playing with the closing time on my camera, along with some light full moments from the new year's celebration.

I thought heart shaped fireworks only existed in movies :)
