Lady Purple

Indiana

So...this is probably not the best drawing I've ever done, but it's my first time to ever finish a portrait that is actually meant to look like somebody - and teeth ARE known to be difficult to draw - so please, give me some credit here... XD

Happy birthday!

Hey, guys! On Tuesday Indiana turned 16, and in that occasion, I've made her a present that I just got done. Since she hasn't seen it yet, I can't publish it until tomorrow, but now at least you have something to look foreword to ;)

Ever been in love with a cupcake?

A recipe made by foolish randomness just created the most delicious cupcakes ever! They really melted on my tongue... mmm! The weird texture may be caused by the lack of eggs in the batter - because I couldn't find any in the fridge, and I never mind going to the store. I never thought they would, but frankly I think they turned out very well! <3 Why I decided to bake today? Well, after watching an episode of Cupcake Wars, I just felt the need.

The project

The last one here is the composition of my drawing, and the two first are the poses in detail. I'm very excited to see how this turns out!

The Path of Love

In the quiet depths of our snow-coated city is a steep, little street with only small houses; the so-called "tent-houses". And out from that street, like a branch growing out from a tree, is an even smaller, even quieter little track. This is the Path of Love.
I have always wondered about that name. Yes, it may be idyllic and romantic, but who thinks about such things by looking at a little path? Well, going for a walk with Pippi, my dog, today, I finally got the answer; or at least one man's version of it.
On my way on the "Tent-house Hill" I met a man. He asked about my dog - pets always lead to contact - and commented on the Norwegian winter. He didn't need many words for his description: "Oh, the Norwegian winter!"
Then the path caught his eye, and he said:
"This path, over here, this is the Path of Love. We" - I assumed that "we" meant him and his wife, girlfriend, or someone he loved - "moved here a while ago, and we saw this path. We liked it. We loved it. And we named it the Path of love."
About the pic:
Vilje, Elsie and I had a photo shoot at Vilje's house yesterday - we do it all the time, and I love it! <3

The innocent

Finally I'm done with this! I'm very happy with the eyes, and the way I've made them shine... :) Did you like the sepia effect, by the way, or does it look better in black and white?
However, from now on, I'll probably focus mostly on the main project in art & craft in school, which I'll be showing you parts of while I work with it.

I've come a little further...

...just tried out the sepia effect for fun...think it looks kinda cool :P Also the details of the eye are much clearer now, when I haven't zoomed it in as much.

Drawing again :)

Hey, you! This is another eye of a newly started portrait. I hope to get all the proportions right this time, though it's very difficult. I looked in the mirror this morning, and saw my eye with stunning colors created by the sunlight. It almost seemed like it glowed, and that's the effect I've tried to replicate here. Right now I'm working with the nose and mouth, anxious about figuring out how to place the other eye - it's really challenging! What do you think so far?
